Ritratti di Cinema
"Ritratti di Cinema" is an imaginary roundtable discussion in which nine iconic directors from the international film scene—Jane Campion, Tim Burton, Ruben Östlund, Asghar Farhadi, Pablo Larraín, Damien Chazelle, Paul Schrader, Peter Greenaway, and Martin Scorsese, discuss the meaning of cinema and the mechanisms that have made their cinematic language unmistakable. It’s a way to talk about cinema without analyzing films or delving into technical details. “Portraits of Cinema” aims to be a journey into the profound themes found in the films of these nine great filmmakers—a way to trace creativity back to its deepest roots.
